From 1958 to 2023, Tempel Farm in Wadsworth, Illinois was the preeminent US home of Vienna’s Spanish Riding School traditions, housing the largest private herd of Lipizzans in the world and the only place where Lipizzans were bred, trained and shown in one place. While the herd has been disbanded, the training and bloodlines live on. The summer shows will be missed.
Barmima was one of the stars of the show. Sandy Collins purchased him and he is now living a great life as a very much loved schoolmaster.
