Friends & Family

When I started this gallery I had no idea how quickly I would lose some of the loved ones in these photos. My sisters Suzi and Cathy are gone, as is my dear friend Kevin. This has reminded me to celebrate those I care about while they are here.

My late sister Cathy and her husband Dale

We celebrated my mother’s 90th birthday with a family gathering at Big Cedar Lodge in Branson MO. Mom took her first motorcycle ride with my sister Suzi. We managed to gather every member of the family except my sister Cathy’s daughter Megan, who was teaching in Thailand at the time.

My son Daniel, aka Spec, just before his 32nd birthday
Marina and her mother Star Bradley, visiting from Montana

Doug Schacke and I worked together at Barat College in the 90’s, then worked together again at Rotary (here in Bangkok). Music lover, therapist, kind and insightful friend, he was taken too soon.

My sister Suzi with Mom and Suzi’s daughter Leah on the eve of Leah’s wedding. A month later Suzi died of COVID.

Family portrait from Mom’s 95th birthday. My brother Doug and sister-in-law Leslie McDonald were part of the celebration, as was our dog Maisie.

My mother, Pat Froh, with one of her little Maltese companions, Gilly.
Marina Bradley, my late sister Suzi’s granddaughter
Kevin Morrissey, a friend since 2001. Dog lover, house sitter, unofficial member of the family. He passed away in April 2026.

Friend and neighbor Prof. Arden Handler, receiving yet another award for her internationally-recognized work in maternal and child health.

Linda Hoff-Hagensick (now Hoff-Irvin) and her toddler Sam walked across the street in 1995 to greet us before the moving van had pulled away. She’s now in memory care. I mioss our walks.
